Lucknow: The case of the Hathras gangrape has been intensified. On the one hand, while protests are taking place across the country, political parties are now attacking the Yogi government. In this connection, BSP supremo and former UP CM Mayawati have also demanded the Yogi government to conduct a CBI probe in this case.

Mayawati has demanded a CBI probe into the matter. Mayawati tweeted from her official Twitter handle, People all over the country are agitated over the Hathras Gangrape case. The initial inquiry report does not seem to satisfy the public. Therefore, the matter should be investigated by the CBI or under the supervision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court. In another tweet, Mayawati also demanded the President to intervene in the matter.

Mayawati wrote, "I also appeal President to intervene in this case, especially in view of the inhuman attitude of the government, to bring justice to the victim's family". On September 14, a Dalit girl was raped by four people in Hathras, UP. The victim succumbed to her injuries in Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi two weeks later.
