Lucknow: Politics has heated up over the famous Hathras gangrape case in Uttar Pradesh. Samajwadi Party president and former state CM Akhilesh Yadav is gearing up to meet the victim's family. On his way back from abroad, Akhilesh Yadav will reach Hathras directly from Delhi. He is going to reach Hathras on October 4.

In this connection, Akhilesh had said that an FIR should be lodged against hathras district magistrate, superintendent of police. The Yogi government has suspended Hathras Superintendent of Police, a DSP and the concerned Thana Incharge. In this case, the accused as well as the aggrieved party will also undergo a polygraph and narco test. Earlier, former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi also wanted to go Hathras on Thursday. But the police did not let them go beyond Greater Noida. Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who left for Hathras from Delhi, were stopped by the UP police.

There was also a blow-up between UP Police and Congress workers near Greater Noida. After being taken into custody, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi were taken to the F-1 guest house on the expressway. However, after a while, the police had released them.
