"In light of the recent relaxation of visa restrictions and introduction of foreign travel, it might have a major influence on the country's public health," Union Health and Family Welfare Secretary Rajesh Bhushan stated. The SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG) and NCDC, the nodal agency for INSACOG, are carrying out genome sequencing in India, according to the letter.
