Amit Shah, the minister of cooperation, and Mansukh S. Mandaviya, the minister of chemicals and fertilisers, resolved to find Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Societies (PACS) around the nation that are not currently operating as fertiliser merchants. As per the statement from the ministry of cooperation, the government intends to romote these PACS to become merchants and would progressively effectuate this move based on their viability.

PACS will be linked to the supply and sale of organic fertilisers in an effort to support their marketing, with an emphasis on phosphate-enriched organic manure (PROM), liquid fermented organic manure (LFOM), and fermented organic manure (FoM).

The Department of Fertilisers' Market Development Assistance (MDA) programme calls on fertiliser businesses to act as aggregators for small bio-organic producers. PACS will also be integrated into this supply and marketing chain as wholesalers and retailers, enhancing their function in the distribution of bio-organic fertilisers, it was said.

PACS can also investigate new opportunities as drone business owners, mainly for the purpose of applying pesticides and fertilisers. Additionally, drones will be used for property surveys in the agriculture sector, improving efficacy and efficiency. Senior representatives from the department of fertilisers and the ministry of cooperation also attended the conference.

As per the ministry, these decisions aim to boost the income of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies, generate employment opportunities in rural areas. They will also enable the farmer to acquire fertilizers, pesticides, seeds and agricultural machinery at the local verticals.
