New Delhi: Team India's leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal recently surprised everyone by revealing an incident that happened to him in 2011. He told how two of his fellow cricketers misbehaved with him while playing IPL for Mumbai Indians (MI), kept him tied with a rope overnight and later did not even apologize to him. The names of these two cricketers are James Franklin (New Zealand) and Andrew Symonds (Australia). Following Chahal's revelations on the RCB podcast, news has come that England's county team Durham has decided to speak personally to their head coach James Franklin. Durham has said that he will talk to James Franklin in this regard and try to gather more facts.

In its statement, the Durham team said, "We have recently become aware of news reports that pertain to an incident in 2011 with the names of our staff." With our staff being named, the club will talk to them in private and find out the facts. Let us tell you that James Franklin is a former New Zealand cricketer. He was appointed as Durham coach in 2019. He has played 31 Tests, 110 ODIs and 38 T20Is. Apart from all this, Franklin has also played IPL for Mumbai Indians in 2011 and 2012. In 2011, Andrew Symonds of Australia, James Franklin of New Zealand and Yuzvendra Chahal of India were included in the Mumbai Indians team.

Yuzvendra had recently told that at that time Franklin and Symonds tied his hands and feet and locked him in the room and later forgot his actions. Chahal had told that, 'This incident is from 2011 when MI won the Champions League. We were in Chennai. Symonds drank a lot of fruit juice. I don't know what he was thinking, but he and James Franklin tied my arms and legs together and said that you must untie the knot. He was so lost that he even tied my face with tape and he didn't notice me throughout the party. They had all gone. In the morning when someone came for cleaning and saw me, he opened my hands. He asked me how long have you been here. On this I said that I have been like this for the whole night. It turned out to be a funny story. When Chahal was asked whether anyone apologized to him for this act. To this Chahal said, 'No. Those people said that when you drink more juice, you do not remember in the morning.
