Vijayawada: Former CM of Andhra Pradesh and now Leader of Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu had to undergo intensive checking at the Gannawaram Air Port here late Friday night. Chandra Babu Naidu was also denied VIP facility to board the flight and had to travel by bus with ordinary passengers. A security guard was seen checking Naidu at the security entrance.

The head of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was also not allowed to reach the aircraft by VIP vehicle. The TDP reacted sharply to the incident, alleging that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) were resorting to revenge. He said that is the reason why Chandra Babu Naidu was treated humiliatingly.
TDP leader and former state Home Minister Chinna Rajappa has said that the officials' stand was not only derogatory but they also compromised Naidu's security as he got the 'Z Plus' category of security. He said Naidu had never faced such a situation. He asked the Centre and the state government to ensure proper security of Naidu.
