Apart from Ramayana, Shaktimaan and Mahabharata, another hit show Chanakya is being telecast on Doordarshan. With this, the show, which aired for the first time in the year 1990, gained tremendous popularity and Chanakya was directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi. Chandraprakash Dwivedi was a medical professional, but due to his keen interest in Indian literature, he started working in theater. At the same time, he directed the Chanakya show from 1990 to the next two years.

He also played the role of Chanakya in this serial. Apart from this, he also tried to create the Mahabharata show. He had brought a serial called 'Ek and Mahabharata'. After just 14 episodes, he said goodbye to the show because the serial did not get good response from the people. He also wrote dialogues for Doordarshan's famous serial Chhatrapati Shivaji.

For your information, let us tell you that in the year 2008, Chandraprakash Dwivedi had made a TV serial on the Upanishads named Upanishad Ganga. At the same time, serial Upanishad Ganga is also being telecasted on Doordarshan in lockdown. At the same time, this serial was also successful in getting a lot of discussion. Along with this, he also directed the film Pinjar, starring Urmila Matondkar and Manoj Bajpai, which showed the Indo-Pak partition.
