New Delhi: In the year 2020, the threat of corona was a shadow of the world and now due to this threat many changes have been made about the Republic Day celebrations. The length of the Republic Day parade celebrated on Rajpath on 26 January every year has been reduced, the number of people attending it has also been reduced.

A source related to the matter said that more than 25 thousand people will not be able to attend on Republic Day this year. Usually, this number is 1 lakh. Not only this, even children below 15 years of age will not be allowed to watch the parade. Officials said that the marching units from the armed forces and paramilitary will also be small. These troops would have only 96 people, where earlier it consisted of 144 people.

This time the route of the parade has also been shortened, due to which it will start from Vijay Chowk and end at the National Stadium, whereas earlier this parade used to end at the Red Fort and the number of cultural events will also be very less. The corona was also killed on the Independence Day celebrations this year, as a result of which the school students did not attend the event and the number of VIP guests was also low.
