Chandigarh: Chief Minister Charanjeet Singh Channi has taken oath of office as CM at the swearing-in ceremony held in Chandigarh, Punjab. In fact, this is the first time in the state that 2 Deputy CMs have been made. With this, for the first time, a Dalit has become the Chief Minister. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was also seen at the swearing-in ceremony today. In fact, he and Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu had congratulated Charanjeet Singh Channi on becoming the new CM of Punjab.

According to recent information, Rahul Gandhi was waited for about 22 minutes at the event. After that, the oath was taken. Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi's convoy reached Raj Bhavan in Punjab but after being sworn in as CM. Former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh did not attend the swearing-in ceremony. Let me tell you that along with the CM, Congress leader OP Soni was sworn in as the Minister of Punjab. Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit also administered the oath of office to Congress leader Sukhjinder S Randhawa.
