Dehradun: Due to rain in the country, pleasant weather has been prevalent in many places, so heavy rains have caused floods in some places. Yamunotri Highway has been closed on Tuesday night due to landslide near Naugaon Barkot. JCB machine has been installed to open the way. Badrinath highway is open, while opening the road in Parrot Valley, a stone fell on the machine. Due to which the operator is seriously injured.

In Uttarkashi city, about 6 motorways, including the Yamunotri highway, were disrupted for hours due to the landslides caused by the rain since late Monday night. However, traffic on most motorways has been restored till late evening on Tuesday. Proving the forecast of the Meteorological Department, the city getting rain showers from Monday night, which continued on Tuesday.

Due to continuous rains leads to a landslide on Monday night near Kharadi area of Yamuna Valley, due to which the Yamunotri highway was closed. The NH employees cleared the debris by removing debris at around 10 am on Tuesday. Indra Tipari, Badasi, Chinyalisaur Jogat, Silkyara Bangaon and Bhukki Kuzjan Motorway were also disrupted due to falling debris stones from the hills during the extreme rains. After that, now all efforts are being made to remove debris from these routes.
