Raipur: A shocking case of the cruelty of parents has come to light in the Surguja district of Chhattisgarh. Here the parents killed their own 12-year-old daughter and threw her body in the forest. The incident happened in the month of June. Police have registered a case and arrested the accused parents. According to the police, Vishwanath Ekka, a resident of Khala Darima village in Surguja district, had lodged a missing report of his daughter Kike with the police in June.
The girl's father Vishwanath Ekka informed that when he reached home on June 28, he saw that the daughter had not cooked food and had not given fodder to the bullocks. Angered by this, he started beating his daughter with a stick. During the beating, the girl fell on the ground. Her head hit a stone and she died on the spot. The victim's mother was also at home at the time of the incident. After committing the crime, Vishwanath Ekka and his wife dumped the body in a nearby forest.
The very next day both reached the Darima police station and lodged a missing complaint about the girl. As soon as the complaint was registered, the police started searching for her. On August 26, after the complaint was registered, the girl's father called the police. The father told the police that the mutilated body of her daughter was found in the forest of Tula. They have identified the daughter by clothes and slippers. When the police interrogated Vishwanath Ekka and his wife, their lies were exposed. On rigorous interrogation, both of them confessed to killing the daughter. Apart from murder, a case of tampering with evidence has also been registered against both of them. A police investigation is still on.
