Raipur: In Ambikapur district of Chhattisgarh, a husband killed his wife at night after fasting for eight days in Navratri. Wife's body is found in the worship room. When the police arrived on the spot and examined it, looking at the room, it seemed that the husband had given the wife's sacrifice. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused used to do black magic.
The incident took place on Friday-Saturday night in Sarganwa village. The name of the accused husband is Sabal. He killed his wife with more than half a dozen blows on her body. The police has taken the accused into custody but he is repeatedly changing his statement, saying he was suspicious of the wife's character. The police is investigating the case from every angle. Some relatives came to the house of the accused last night. When her daughter-in-law woke up in the morning, she told her that the mother-in-law's body was lying in the worship room. The daughter-in-law informed her husband and the villagers informed the police in this regard.
On giving information, TI Anur Ekka has told that the accused was doing puja by observing fast on Navratri. Family members said that the accused often used to assault his wife. The accused has been taken into custody. He is saying doubt on the character. The police are investigating the matter.
