New Delhi: It is everyone's dream to own a house in the national capital Delhi. If you are also searching for cheap house in Delhi, then hurry up as Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is going to sell 13,000 flats on first come-first serve basis. According to DDA Commissioner VS Yadav, applications are now being taken for the remaining flats from sale in the Special Housing Scheme 2021. Under the scheme, a draw was conducted a few weeks ago, in which only 5,227 buyers could be allotted houses. A total of 18,335 flats were to be allotted under the scheme. Now the application has been made again in the ministry for the sale of the remaining flats. If this is approved, then the remaining 13 thousand flats will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis.
According to sources, the remaining flats belong to the old housing scheme and the agency will have to take permission from the ministry before putting it up for sale again. Once the approval comes from there, the buyers will start asking for applications for these flats. Thereafter, the final buyer will be selected through a draw. The draw will be for such flats which are either surrendered or rejected or have not been sold.
The largest number of flats offered for sale are in Narela, where buyers are looking for around 8,000 flats. Apart from this, many flats are also vacant in Rohini, Dwarka, Siraspur, Ramgarh and Lok Nayak Puram. VS Yadav said that many buyers did not get allotment even after their names appeared in the draw. However, those who put money in terms of investment must have included their name. In such a situation, if the buyers of the already allotted flats show interest again, they will be given an opportunity without a draw. There will be around 20 per cent buyers who can participate.
