New Delhi: After deciding the Chief Minister of Chattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, Congress is all set to take the impending decision over Chief Minister in Chhattisgarh, where four contenders are in the race to the chair.

The decision will be taken by the Congress high command on Saturday, in a meeting scheduled at Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s place in New Delhi.    Following it,  the party will hold its legislature party meeting in Raipur where it will declare the leader of the party.

Congress President on Friday met four senior leaders of the state unit of the party - Bhupesh Baghel, T S Singh Deo, Tamradhwaj Sahu and Charan Das Mahant - in Delhi and held discussions with them. Of these, Baghel and Deo have emerged as front-runners in the race.

Earlier, Congress party has announced the name of the candidate who will serve as the CM in Madhya Pradesh as well as Rajasthan.  Old political warhorse Kamal Nath won the CM race in Madhya Pradesh. Congress party named Ashok Gehlot as the next chief minister of the Rajasthan. The party oppointed Deputy CM to  Pilot.
