Balod: A district court has pronounced its verdict in a 2012 case last Saturday. According to the verdict, the court has sentenced the accused to rigorous imprisonment and a fine of 10,000 rupees for making obscene videos of a minor, blackmailing, and physically abusing her. In fact, all the information has been given by the court sources in this matter. Sources said the incident took place in 2012.

Kundan Sinha, a 30-year-old accused, had proposed love to the 14-year-old victim and then had sex by cheating on her marriage. He constantly pretended to love and marriage and continued to have a relationship with her. Meanwhile, one day he also made a video of her having sex. After that, the accused not only blackmailed the victim by showing the same video repeatedly but also continued to physically abuse her. After suffering exploitation for a long time, the victim finally complained about the matter to the police station.

She lodged a complaint with the Daundi police station in Balod district and the police then took up the entire matter. Kundan, an accused in the case, has been arrested and sent to jail. Additional Sessions Judge (Special and POCSO) Mukesh Kumar Patre is said to have given the verdict on Saturday after hearing all the parties in the case. In fact, the court has sentenced the accused to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of 10,000 rupees.
