Raipur: The Bhupesh Baghel government of Chhattisgarh has launched the Godhan Nyaya Yojana in the state with the hope of increasing the fertility of the land and changes in the rural economy. Under this scheme, the state government will purchase cow dung at the rate of 2 rupees per kg from cattle rearers, from which organic manure will be made. Authorities have given information in this regard.
On giving information on Monday, senior officials of the state have said that the first-of-its-kind cow justice scheme has been started in Chhattisgarh from today. On the occasion of Local festival 'Haryali Amavas', CM Bhupesh Baghel has launched it by purchasing cow dung in a symbolic manner. He has told that under this scheme, the government will buy cow dung from cattle ranchers at the rate of two rupees per kg, and then organic fertilizer will be made from it.
According to officials, the objective of the scheme is to promote animal husbandry as well as to reduce agricultural costs and increase the fertility of the land. He informed that with the improvement of the environment, the rural economy is also expected to undergo major changes from this scheme. The Godhan Nyaya Yojana will also create employment opportunities on a large scale.
