Raipur: Prashant Singh, husband of Chhattisgarh Minister of State Kalpana Singh, has been arrested from Rae Bareli district of Uttar Pradesh. SOG and local police suddenly surrounded their car in Unchahar police station area of the district. All were taken aback when the vehicle of the minister of state running with VIP culture was cordoned off by the police. It has been told that Prashant Singh is absconding in the NDPS case.
A case was registered against Prashant Singh, husband of Minister of State for Chhattisgarh, Kalpana Singh, for smuggling liquor from Barabanki. Prashant was absconding in this case. On Friday evening, when the vehicle of Prashant Singh reached Unchahar police station area, the SOG team seized the local police and arrested him. However, the police officer is not ready to say anything in the case of arrest of Prashant Singh.
On the other hand, after the arrest of her husband, Kalpana while talking to the press people at a local hotel said that this is the trick of the opponents. He accused BJP leader Dinesh Pratap Singh and his brothers that her husband had been implicated under the conspiracy. It is being told that Prashant came to participate in a program of his family. On the information of the informer, SOG and Unchahar police arrested him.
