Raipur: In Raipur district of Chhattisgarh, a girl allegedly burnt by her lover's family died late Sunday evening in a hospital. Police officials of Raipur district said that on 18 of this month, a 20-year-old girl was tried to kill her boyfriend's family in a fire in Kolha village under Abhanpur police station area of the district. The girl died in the hospital late Sunday evening.
Officials said Lallu Satnami (25), a resident of the village, had a love affair between the woman. On December 18, the girl reached her house after Lallu was called. But Lallu was not at home. His family had a dispute with the girl and they put kerosene on him and set him on fire. The girl got badly burnt. He said that after the incident, the girl was rushed to the hospital and later referred to Raipur. On receipt of the information, the police reached the hospital.
Police officials said that on the complaint of the girl's brother, the police registered a case against Lallu's father Jalal Satnami (55), her mother Dukalha Bai (50), Lallu's sister-in-law Naini Bai (22). He said that the police have arrested the female accused on Sunday evening, while Jalal Satnami is absconding.
