Artist: Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Prateek Babbar, Varun Sharma, Tahir Raj Bhasin
Director: Nitesh Tiwari
Movie Type: Drama
Duration: 2 hours 26 minutes
Rating: 3.5 / 5

Story: In the film's story, Raghav (Mohammad Samad), son of Anirudh (Sushant Singh Rajput), is very promising and hardworking in studies and is going through the pressure of getting selected in the entrance exam. At the same time, Anirudh is a single parent after taking the divorce from Maya (Shraddha Kapoor). When Raghav didn't get selected in the entrance exam, he is unable to bear the shock and tries to kill himself by jumping from a friend's building. In his attempt to commit suicide, his heart and brain deeply hurt. Anirudh takes him in the time of hostel days to take his son out of the depression. In the hostel, Along with Maya's love he befriends with Seksa (Varun Sharma), Derek (Tahir Raj Bhasin), Acid (Naveen Polyshetti), Bewada (Saharsh Shukla), Chris Cross (Rohit Chauhan), Mummy (Tusshar Pandey), then the rivalry of a top student like Rezi (Prateik Babbar).

At the same time, Raghav's body, which has gone into unconsciousness, starts responding to the memories of father Anirudh. Anirudh collects all these friends from his hostel time. Anirudh tells Raghav how those infamous people in the hostel, known as Lodgers, tried to free themselves from the tag of Lodgers, but the story of Anirudh's past makes Raghav's condition critical. But see what happens after this in this funny film.

Direction: Director Nitesh Tiwari is a sensitive director and his qualities are also seen in 'Chhichhore'. In the film, he has depicted the atmosphere of the nineties very beautifully. Loose jeans of that era, small details like Casio watches, Reynolds pens, magazines like Playboy, have added colour to the characters. He is also the co-writer of the film, so he has shown the pressure of children getting selected in the entrance or medical examinations. That is, you will get to see everything in the film which will not bore you.

Apart from this, in an emotional scene of the film, Anirudh confides in front of his wife Maya and friends that I had brought a bottle of champagne because after his son is selected, I will celebrate it by drinking with him. Nitesh also strikes a good rapport between the present and the flashback scenes. The world of bachelor boys in boys hostels entertains the audience with dialogue, romance and rivalry.

Acting: The film is rich in terms of performance. Sushant Singh Rajput has also lived well with the young Ani, the middle-aged Anirudh. Shraddha Kapoor performed well as Maya. She is looking pretty in the film. Sushant and Shraddha's innocence is reflected in the chemistry. Varun Sharma's character as Seksa was loud, but he has entertained a lot with his loudness. Mohammed Samad's performance as Raghav is full of honesty. Tahir Raj Bhasin's work as Derek is strong, so the characters of Acid (Naveen Polyshetty), Bewada (Saharsh Shukla), Chris Cross (Rohit Chauhan), Mummy (Tusshar Pandey) add life to the story. Prateik Babbar has done a good job as a grey character Rezi. The songs composed by Pritam's music are average.

Reason to watch: The film is entertaining and gives a message to society.
