PM Modi has received three proposals to deal with the coronavirus. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has proposed to extend the lockdown period at the national level till April 30, not to start rail and air services before April 30, and to continue MNREGA, agriculture and allied work keeping social reprimand.

In his statement, the Chief Minister has said that increasing the lockdown period will make it easier to deal with the coronavirus. Even before this, the Odisha government has given this proposal to the central government. On Saturday, the Prime Minister had discussed with the Chief Ministers of all the states of the country through video conferencing on the condition of Coronavirus. During this discussion, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has given the above proposal.

The Chief Minister has requested the government of other states to take responsibility of the people of Odisha living in different states. The Chief Minister has also said that the Odisha government is taking the responsibility of the people of other states living in Odisha. The central government is discussing to increase the lockdown period in the country by another 2 weeks. However, so far no decision has been taken by the Central Government to extend the lockdown period. The same Odisha government has extended the first lockdown period till April 30 in the country.
