Dehradun: CM Trivendra Singh Rawat inspected Rishikesh railway station and STP Dalwala today. CM, after checking the first yoga city railway station of Rishikesh Karnprayag rail project, discussed with the project director Himanshu Badoni and project manager Omprakash Malgudi. He commended the officials for the construction of the first railway station of the project in a fixed period.

CM said in his statement that the first railway station of the Karnprayag Rishikesh Rail Project will prove to be a milestone in development. The ambitious planning of PM Narendra Modi is going to be a major achievement. PM himself will inaugurate this. Long-distance rail service from various regions of India will reach here. CM also planted a teak plant in the railway station premises. There has been a system to connect the Central Government Chardham area with the rail project. Work on the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project to connect Badrinath and Kedarnath Dham places with rail has started rapidly.

The construction of a railway station and tunnel has been completed. Construction of five tunnels is underway. Efforts have also been started on the project to reach the railways to Uttarkashi for Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. The survey of the railway project from Doiwala to Uttarkashi and Barkot has been completed. The Doiwala Uttarkashi Barkot railway line will be 122 km long, on which a cost of 24 thousand crores is estimated.
