Dehradun: Chief Secretary Om Prakash along with officers inspected the reconstruction work at Kedarnath. The instruments will be transported with the help of  Chinook copter to Kedarnath phase II. The Mi-26 helipad will be expanded. The helipad for landing of Chinook copter will be expanded to 100 x 50 metres. The proposal has been approved by the Cabinet.

With the expansion, some houses under the Garhwal Mandal Tourism Development Corporation will be demolished. The Chinook copter will be provided with a lot of equipment for Kedarnath reconstruction work. The cabinet meeting held on Friday has approved the expansion of the helipad for the movement of Chinook helicopters. Kedarnath has a helipad of 60m long and 40m wide. 

On the other hand, private hospitals will not be able to refuse treatment of corona patients in the state. Private hospitals will send the patient to COVID care centre if needed. District Collector Dr Ashish Kumar Srivastava directed the officers of private hospitals, IMA blood banks and health departments through video conferencing. The DM asked the medical officers of the private hospitals to find out whether the beds are available before shifting the COVID infected person to another hospital. Also, the guideline of ICMR should be followed in the treatment fee in hospitals and related procedures.
