Bangalore: A 2-year-old child fell into a borewell in Lachayan village, Karnataka, triggering a more than 20-hour rescue operation. Both SDRF and NDRF teams successfully rescued the child amidst scenes of jubilation. Video footage captured the moment when the rescue team pulled the muddy child out of the borewell, and immediately, medical personnel rushed the child to an ambulance waiting nearby.

The incident occurred on the land of the child's father, Satish Mujagond, where a borewell had been dug. Teams swiftly responded to the emergency after learning about the child's fall. The child, named Satvik Mujagond, had fallen into the borewell while playing near his home in Vijayapura district. The rescue team worked diligently to reach the trapped child, who was estimated to be at a depth of 15 to 20 feet.

Despite the challenges, the rescue team heard the child crying during the morning rescue operation, indicating that he was still alive. Tubes were installed in the well to supply oxygen to the child, and tube well drilling workers were called to expedite the rescue efforts. Thankfully, the operation concluded successfully with the safe rescue of the child.
