Jaipur: Recently, the case of 15 children who have seen the solar eclipse without glasses or any other security arrangement, has come to the notice of getting the eyes of 70 percent deteriorated. At the same time, these children saw the solar eclipse on December 26, 2019 without glasses, but for some time they stopped seeing. Later, in Rajasthan's largest government Sawai Mansingh Hospital, these children arrived with their parents and the doctors of the ophthalmology department put the medicine in the eye and then the blur started to appear, that is, it was still not clear. It has been learned that after investigation, the doctors admitted that the eyes of these children have become worse by 40 to 70 percent. Dr. Kamalesh Khilnani, Superintendent of Ophthalmology Department at Sawai Manasingh Hospital, told that after examining the eyes of the children, their retina has burned. At the same time a yellow spot has formed inside the eye. He told that now these children will be treated, so that they will start seeing clearly.

Such cases were reported in many places: It has been learned that Dr. Khilnani and senior ophthalmologist Dr. NS Chauhan told that the sun usually gets 2 to 3 hundreds from open eyes due to strong light. Can only be seen. At the same time, during the solar eclipse, if the sunlight decreases, then people also see for two to three minutes with open eyes. People do not know that sunlight is less during eclipse, but radiation remains the same as bright light. Seeing the sun during the eclipse for more than two to three minutes causes radiation retinal damage.

According to medical department officials, a similar thing has come out from some other districts, besides 15 children who reached ophthalmologists at Sawai Mansingh Hospital after reaching Jaipur. Their data is being collected.
