Children’s Day Recipe: Make these delicious chocolate chip cookies for your kids

We are celebrating Children’s Day today. Children’s day is celebrated in, all over India to commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister, Jawarharlal Nehru, who was also a great advocate for children’s right and for an all-inclusive education system. On Children’s day here is an interesting recipe for your kid to make.

The chocolate chip cookie recipe is truly the best. These chocolate chip cookies are loved because they're soft, chewy, and absolutely irresistible. It is one of the quick, durable and delicious recipe to make for your child.


  • 2 ¼  cup all purpose floor
  • 1teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2teaspoon salt
  • 1cup butter, softened
  • 3/4cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4cup packed brown sugar
  • 1teaspoon vanilla
  • 2cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1cup coarsely chopped nuts, if desired


In a small bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, beat softened butter and sugars with an electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with a spoon for about 1 minute or until fluffy, scraping the side of the bowl occasionally.

Beat vanilla until smooth. Stir in the flour mixture just until blended. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Onto ungreased cookie sheets, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart. Pre

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 30 minutes. Store covered in an airtight container.
