SHENYANG, April 16 (Xinhua) -- China's major steelmaker Ansteel posted year-on-year growth of 39.4 percent in operating revenue in the first quarter of this year, the company said.
During the period, the company achieved 89.6 billion yuan (about 14 billion U.S. dollars) in operating revenue.
Its total profit and net profit in the first three months were 8.3 billion yuan and 6.8 billion yuan, respectively up 13.2 percent and 13.3 percent from the same period last year.
Ansteel's output of iron ore concentrate neared 13 million tonnes, up 3 percent year on year.
