NEW DELHI:  Ahead of General Rawat' s outcry against Chian and Pak, the media outlet of China Global Times alleged General Rawat's remarks and said  "diplomatically immature rhetoric”.

The state media channel also said commerce with India "requires more than one set of rules", and referred to Rawat's "harsh comments" since the commencement of the year.

"The Indian army seems to have failed to learn its lesson from the Doklam standoff," read the front editorial in Global Times, which is directed by the Communist Party of China.

"If India continues making provocations, it should expect harsh punishment from the Chinese army. Confronting China entails an unbearably high strategic cost for India. New Delhi should cherish the amicable policy adopted by Beijing," the editorial further said.

Global Times was mentioning to Rawat's remarks since last week when he lauded India needs to move military focus to the border with China.

According to Rawat, for too long, India kept the focus on the western front.  But now he urged Indian defense force to focus on the northern border. as a result, infrastructure and development of India on the northern border have to be speeded up.

Global Times realized Rawat’s remarks at likelihood with the odd attitude of the external affairs ministry.

"...all these reports (with Rawat's comments) are incongruent with the Indian external affairs ministry's judgment that the status quo prevailed on the border," touted the editorial.
