China issued alert for rainstorms

On Sunday, China's National Meteorological Centre issued a severe rainstorm warning for several parts of the nation, urging people to take precautions.

Rain is anticipated in areas of Sichuan, Chongqing, Shaanxi, Hubei, Henan, Shandong, Jiangsu, and Anhui from 8 a.m. Sunday to 8 a.m. Monday. According to the Xinhua news agency, parts of Shandong Province will get up to 120 mm of rain.

Some of these regions are expected to get more than 50 millimeters of rain each hour. Local authorities have been urged to take necessary steps to prepare for rainstorms, and drivers have been cautioned of the possibility of road waterlogging.
