New Delhi: Indian Army Chief General Manoj Pandey has made a big statement about the intentions of the neighbouring country China. He said on Monday that the original dispute with China is over the border, but China's intention is to maintain the dispute. Not only this, the Army Chief further said that the Indian soldiers are fully prepared to deal with any situation on the border.

General Pandey said that the Indian army's aim is to restore the status quo ante in eastern Ladakh before April 2020. He said that the soldiers deployed at the border have been instructed to stick to their duties. Not only this, he said, Indian soldiers are in important positions and they have been given strict instructions that they have to thwart any attempt to change the status quo. According to the report, General Manoj Pandey said that the basic issue with China is to resolve the border problem. But we think China's intention is to keep this dispute tangled up. "We as a country need the vision of the nation as a whole and in the military domain, it is to stop and counter any attempt to change the line of actual control and in the situation.''

General Manoj Pandey said that he took over as the chief of the Indian Army only last week. He said that after talks at the diplomatic and military level, the north and south sides of Pangong Tso, patrolling point 14 of Gogra and Galvan have been disengaged. We hope that this issue will be resolved through dialogue in the rest of the areas as well. Our aim is to restore the status quo ante of April 2020.
