The meeting between the country's Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and the Chinese Defence Minister in Moscow comes at the request of the Chinese administration. According to sources, Chinese Defence Minister Wei Fanghe was keen on meeting Rajnath Singh. Chinese Defence Minister Wei Fanghe reached the hotel where Rajnath Singh stayed for the discussion to discuss the two defence ministers.
The meeting between the two defence ministers lasted for more than two hours. The sources point out that the reason for the long run of the meeting was that the defence minister responded to all the issues raised by the Chinese side, and busted his false claims. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also answered China's questions in detail, and elaborated on all issues of the dispute. He also said that the country is not ready to leave even one inch of land of its right, and it will be protected at all costs.
Rajnath Singh said that India understands the responsibility of border management, but our goal to safeguard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country should not be viewed by any apprehension. The need for the Chinese defence minister's talks for the discussion can be gauged from the fact that when the two leaders sat at the table, Wei Fenghe said he had requested the discussion 3 times in the past 80 days. At the same time, the discussion between the two Defence Ministers was completed.
