New Delhi: On Friday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will meet with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. Wang Yi is also expected to see National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, according to an official report. Wang Yi landed in New Delhi from Kabul on Thursday.

Wang Yi arrived in Kabul, Afghanistan, on Thursday after a three-day visit to Pakistan. Since the border standoff between the two nations began in May 2020, this is the first visit of a senior Chinese leader to New Delhi in two years.

The Chinese minister's visit coincides with India's rejection of his comments on Kashmir at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) summit in Islamabad. Other countries, particularly China, have no right to remark on India's domestic matters, according to India.

Notably, sections along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh have been disengaged, and India and China are holding military and diplomatic talks to disengage from the remaining trouble locations.

Following the confrontation in the Galwan Valley, both countries held many rounds of border discussions in an attempt to end the deadlock. At all points of conflict in eastern Ladakh, India has urged for complete disengagement.
