Udaipur: As the Congress' three-day Chintan Shivir draws to a close on Sunday, the Congress Working Committee (CWC) will consider the suggestions of the six committees in order to propose a declaration and a roadmap for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The Chintan Shivir, which was held in Udaipur after a nine-year hiatus, drew around 430 leaders and produced a "six draught resolution" that was submitted to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi by the conveners of six committees formed to discuss a variety of topics ranging from politics to organisation, farmers-agriculture, youth-related issues, social justice and welfare, and the economy.

The CWC will convene in the first half to consider the draught resolutions proposed by the committees for final approval by the party's top echelon.

Consideration of 50% reservation for youth, SC-STs, OBCs, and minorities in the organisation, the "One Family One Ticket" formula, cooling period for party leaders, Youth Congress and NSUI internal elections, the legal guarantee of MSP to farmers, and the establishment of a parliamentary party board are among the key issues.

According to sources, the CWC may make some unexpected decisions, as Sonia Gandhi has stated that the party requires changes and a shift in its working manner.
