Patna: Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan is campaigning for the BJP in the by-elections to two seats in Bihar. He did a roadshow in Mokama on Monday in favour of BJP candidate Sonam Devi. However, Chirag Paswan made it clear that he is not in NDA yet. Talks will be held with top BJP leaders this month. The decision on joining the NDA and the government will be taken only after meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Earlier, LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and other BJP leaders in Delhi. After meeting Shah, he decided to campaign in favour of the BJP in Mokama and Gopalganj. Chirag reached Patna from Delhi on Sunday, followed by a roadshow at Mokama on Monday. On Tuesday they can go to Gopalganj.
Chirag Paswan is not in NDA but is publicly campaigning for BJP. However, there is every possibility that he will come to the NDA before the Lok Sabha elections. Because after the change of power in Bihar, Chirag is making fierce rhetoric against CM Nitish Kumar. He also said that he will never go to Nitish Kumar's alliance. In such a situation, Chirag Paswan is left with the option of returning to the NDA, because he also knows that he cannot win the election on his own. Let us inform you that Chirag Paswan parted ways from the NDA in 2020 after a break in the Lok Janshakti Party. His father Ram Vilas Paswan was a minister in the Narendra Modi government at the Centre. After the death of Ram Vilas, a war broke out between Chirag and his uncle Pashupati Paras over his legacy. The LJP broke up and split into two factions.
