The Latest Telugu release GodFather, a remake of Mohanlal-starrer Malayalam blockbuster Lucifer, has registered a solid opening with first-day gross earnings of ₹ 38 crore worldwide, as per the makers. Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to announce that the film had grossed ₹ 38 crore on the first day. An official tweet from the makers Konidela Productions also confirmed that the film grossed Rs. 38 crore on its opening day. The official numbers are yet to be out.
GodFather is an official Telugu remake of the Malayalam movie Lucifer, starring Mohanlal in the lead. Apart from Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan, the cast of the film includes Lady Superstar Nayanthara, director Puri Jagannadh and Satya Dev in significant roles, apart from others. Helmed by Mohan Raja.
The Ghost
The Ghost, which debuted in theatres yesterday, October 5, has received overwhelmingly good reviews so far. The release of GodFather on the same day as the movie may be one factor in the low box office performance of the movie.
