Chiyaan Vikram takes up all of the praise for his role as Aditha Karikalan in Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2'. However, he recently suffered a setback when he injured himself during a Thangalaan rehearsal. Vikram will take a vacation from filming Pa Ranjith's Thangalaan, according to his publicist. In a message, he also thanked everyone for their support and appreciation.
Chiyaan Vikram's next film will be Thangalaan, directed by Pa Ranjith. This year's period drama is one of Kollywood's most anticipated films. Vikram is overjoyed that he is getting recognized for his work in Ponniyin Selvan: Part 2. For the past few months, the actor has been filming Thangalaan. He received a rib injury during one of the rehearsal sessions. He will rest for a while before returning to the set of the film.

Vikram's spokesperson said, "Thank you for all the love and appreciation Aditha Karikalan aka Chiyaan Vikram has received and for the astounding response to PS 2 from all over the world. Chiyaan sustained an injury during rehearsals resulting in a broken rib due to which he will not be able to join his Thangalaan unit for a short while. He thanks everyone for your love and promises to be back on his feet and rocking at the earliest."
Thangalaan is Pa Ranjith and Chiyaan Vikram's debut collaboration. The primary actors in the film are Parvathy Thiruvothu, Daniel Caltagirone, and Malavika Mohanan. According to reports, the film is based on genuine occurrences in the life of mine employees in Karnataka's Kolar Gold Fields.
The film is produced by KE Gananvel Raja of Studio Green and stars Pasupathi, Harikrishnan Anbudurai, Preeti Karan, and Muthukumar in supporting parts. The technical team includes cinematographer A Kishor Kumar, editor Selva RK, and composer GV Prakash Kumar.
