New Delhi: Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) founder and former Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan was posthumously conferred with the Padma Bhushan on Monday, his son LJP's national president Chirag Paswan has said it is a matter of great pride for every member of the party, a passionate moment for the family.
"It is a matter of great pride for every member of the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) to receive the Padma Bhushan award for the founder of the party," Chirag Paswan said in an official tweet. It is a passionate moment for the family as well. The Lok Janshakti Party will fulfil the dreams of Papa (Ram Vilas Paswan) with new energy from this honour. Congratulations to every member of the Lojopa family. Chirag further said, "I thank the entire country and all the father's companions who have influenced their lives for this honour when they are not in their father. I heartily express my heartfelt gratitude to the President of India, respected Prime Minister Narendra Modiji and respected Home Minister Amit Shah for the Padma Bhushan award."
Chirag Paswan said, 'Dad devoted his entire life to social justice and to fighting the deprived Dalit backwards. Papa is being conferred with the Padma Bhushan award for his 51-year unblemished political career by the Government of India.'
