Today, 26th January 2021 is being celebrated as International Customs Day across the world. The day is held on 26th January 1953 in memory of the formation of the international customs organization (WTO). On January 26, every year, various national events are organized by the Customs Administration of 179 member countries around the world to celebrate the first session by the Customs Cooperation Council of the World Customs Organization. The DUBCO Secretariat chooses a theme for International Customs Day.

The World Customs Organization (WPO) is dedicated to promoting the digitization of the customs process under 2016 Digital Customs.

About World Customs Organization-

• The World Customs Organization is an inter-governmental organization headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.
• WPO is noted for its work in areas covering international conferences, equipment, and equipment development, commodity classification, evaluation, collection of rules of origin, customs revenue, and other topics.
• THE WTO takes account of the naming of International Relevant System (HS) goods, the technical aspects of the Trade Organisation (WTO), customs assessment, and rules of origin.
• Currently, THE NUCO collectively represents 180 customs administrations worldwide.
