Christmas is being celebrated around the world. In this episode, 11 people lost their lives during a Christmas party celebration in the Philippines. 11 people died and more than 300 people became seriously ill after drinking coconut wine, a favorite served during Christmas parties. Health officials said that sick people have been admitted to the local hospital, where they are being treated. While giving this information on Monday, local officials said that the incident took place in 2 provinces, Laguna and Quezon, south of Manila.

In his statement, the official said that all people had drunk Lambanog, which is a popular drink in these provinces. This drink is widely consumed during holidays and celebrations. Many people were admitted to hospitals at Rizal in Laguna on the request of Mayor Winer Munoz. Between Thursday and Sunday, many people died due to drinking popular coconut wine.

Some people bought coconut wine for the holidays and some for a birthday party, while others received a drink from the local authorities for the Christmas party. Significantly, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the country had already warned about the banned and dangerous use of methanol in this home-made liquor.
