In Madhya P, a brainstorm on the second list of candidates in the Congress for the forthcoming assembly by-election has been issued. The second list of the Congress also includes the names of several leaders who have changed their party.  Bye-elections are due in 28 assembly constituencies in the state. Out of these, the Congress has announced its candidates for 15 seats. The names of the remaining 13 candidates are being churned out.

As per the information received, three surveys have been conducted by state President Kamal Nath for all the bye-election constituencies and the names of candidates are going to be finalised on the basis of that. The first list of candidates that the party has released has 5 candidates who have come to the Congress from other parties. They have been made candidates because they are very good in the respective area. It has also come up in the Congress survey.

It has been revealed that many more leaders from other parties, including the BJP, can revolt and the Congress is looking at rebels who also have a mass base in their areas. But the party would not be back in making these rebels a candidate. Meaning, the second list may also reveal the names of the party-changing leaders. Political analyst Santosh Gautam says both bjp and Congress are looking at dissidents of the opposing party, and that is why the defection is going on. The BJP has the names of almost all the candidates and that is why there is dissatisfaction in the party. As the Congress wants to take advantage of this discontent, the Congress is undergoing a churning phase to release the second list.
