Chandigarh: The Manohar Lal Khattar government in Haryana has relaxed corona restrictions in the state, allowing all cinema halls, theatres and multiplexes to open with 50 per cent capacity of the total seats. At the same time, the state government has also allowed the opening of schools and colleges for classes above the 10th standard from February 1.
According to the order issued by the Haryana State Disaster Management Authority (HSDMA) on Friday, all cinema halls, theatres, multiplexes are allowed to open with a capacity of 50 per cent seats. However, during this time people will have to follow necessary social distancing, regular cleanliness and COVID-19 appropriate behavioural norms. Earlier, an order issued by HSDMA on January 5 had said that cinema halls, theatres and multiplexes will remain closed.
The order, issued on Friday, also said that private and government universities, colleges, schools (for classes 10 to 12), polytechnics, industrial training institutes, coaching institutes, libraries, training institutes are allowed to open for direct classes from February 1. However, the state government directed all educational institutions to advise students to administer at least one dose of the corona vaccine.
