Chennai: There was chaos at the Chennai airport in Tamil Nadu when a CISF jawan on duty committed suicide by shooting himself there. On Thursday, a 26-year-old CISF constable shot himself inside a toilet. The deceased CISF jawan has been identified as Yashpal, a resident of Rajasthan. Police said that the reason behind the suicide could not be ascertained.

Yashpal used his self-loading rifle to shoot him on the head. Due to which the CISF jawan died on the spot. According to the information, Yashpal's duty was at the departure terminal. There was a stampede at the airport after hearing the sound of gunshots. People did not understand from where the bullet was fired and who fired it.

The atmosphere at Chennai airport was the same on Thursday as well. People were going to their destination with boarding passes while checking-in. Some people were waiting for the flight. Meanwhile, with the sound of gunshots, those present there got scared. There, suddenly there was chaos. The airport staff were also scared.
