Disputes arose between members of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and Dal Khalsa on the release of the original Nanakshahi calendar-2020. During this, there was the fierce debate between the two.

For your information, let us tell you that General Secretary of Dal Khalsa Kanwar Pal Singh tried to release this calendar by standing outside the secretariat of Shri Akal Takht Sahib on Friday, then security staff tried to snatch this calendar by Kanwar Pal Singh did. During this tussle, the calendar caught in the hands of Kanwarpal Singh exploded. There was a debate between the two sides about this matter. Once there was tension, but despite this, Dal Khalsa released the calendar.

In his statement, Kanwarpal Singh said that on one hand Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh is saying that Shri Akal Takht Sahib is the commonhold of all Sikh organizations, but on the other hand an organization like Dal Khalsa is being prevented from entering Shri Akal Takht. Dal Khalsa had earlier offered Ardas from the premises of Shri Akal Takht Sahib. The same, after Ardas, the task force told him not to release the calendar here. He said at the same time that he would release it outside the Sri Akal Takht Secretariat. When he reached the secretariat with his colleagues, the security staff posted here also mistreated him. The calendar torned in a tussle between him and a security staff while releasing the calendar.
