JAMMU: Amid the heavy rainfall and flood crisis across several parts of India cloudburst incidents are also reporting. The country reports two major cloudburst incidents in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Talking about Jammu and Kashmir, over 30 people are reported missing after a cloudburst in a remote village in the Kishtwar district.

"Four bodies have been recovered from the debris and eight-nine houses are damaged," said deputy commissioner. Union minister Jitendra Singh informed about the incident "#Kishtwar Coudburst:Just now spoke to DM Sh Ashok Sharma. Following cloudburst in Dachhan region, as many as 30 to 40 persons are missing. Rescue operations going on with help of SDRF and army." Rescue teams have been rushed to Honzar village of Dacchan tehsil. Most parts of the Jammu region have been receiving heavy rains for the past few days and further prediction of more rains till July-end is made.

Authorities in Kishtwar have asked people living along water bodies and slide-prone areas to remain vigilant. "Heavy rains during the upcoming days is predicted and water levels in rivers and nallas are expected to rise, which can pose a threat to the inhabitants residing near rivers, nallas, water bodies, and slide-prone areas," the district administration said.
