New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal government of Delhi has issued a gazette notification of door step delivery of ration. After this, about 17 lakh people of Delhi from March will be able to take door step delivery of cheap ration sitting at home given by the government. Kejriwal government will charge extra for door step delivery of ration. The government has not yet fixed the charges for door step delivery of ration.

Under the Chief Minister's house-to-house ration scheme, there is a plan to provide ration to people's homes in all the 70 assembly constituencies of the capital. People can apply for this scheme. If people want to get ration from the shops then they can continue it. Under this scheme, people will be provided with ground flour on behalf of Delhi government. For the delivery of ration, biometric identification of the people will be done, only then the ration will be provided to the people.

The process of taking all kinds of goods from the warehouse, packaging and transporting it to the poor's home will be completed under CCTV, GPS and biometric systems. Delhi Consumer will also provide all information to the Operative Wholesale Store Limited on real time.
