New Delhi: On Friday, 5 June, on the occasion of World Environment Day, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal planted a tree at his residence. Due to the Corona crisis, mass tree planting programs are not taking place across the country as before. CM Kejriwal has urged all the people to plant trees in their residence or in the vicinity of the colony.

CM Kejriwal has also taken a pledge. He tweeted with his official Twitter handle, "Nature and environment are a heritage for generations to come. On the occasion of World Environment Day, we take a pledge that we will protect our nature and environment." CM Kejriwal has also issued a message on the occasion of World Environment Day. In which he has written that whatever has happened in the last few months has reminded us that the balance we have in our surroundings is very delicate.

He said that a small mistake can spoil this balance. In the last few months, the people of Delhi have fought together against Corona and saved thousands of lives. This work is very difficult and many people have sacrificed a lot for it, but we will win. In his message, CM Kejriwal has further written that protecting the earth's atmosphere is a difficult task, which cannot be done by the people of Delhi or the country alone. But once we come together again for one purpose, we can win. I heartily wish all the people of Delhi on World Environment Day. Let's work together to create a city where clean water, pure air and healthy people live."
