New Delhi: The supply of essential commodities in Delhi will not be disrupted during the 21-day long lock-down, it was announced by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal himself. In a press conference held with the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi on Wednesday, he announced the issuance of e-passes for the supply of essential commodities. He also said that an e-pass will be issued for those selling vegetables and other essential shops, so that essential and everyday things can reach the people.

Highlights of Kejriwal's statement: -

People should not go on the streets, this will end the purpose of lock down.
The supply of medicines will not be interrupted. Arrangements are being made to issue e-passes for them.
Do not unnecessarily crowd the shops.
Ignore the rumor at all, it is our responsibility to supply essential items.
E-pass will be issued for those who do not have Icards.
Helpline number will be issued from e-pass.

Let us tell you that the lock down is in force since Monday in Delhi. Meanwhile, the lock-down has been extended for 21 days from 12 pm on Tuesday night, which was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself in his address to the nation on television late on Tuesday night. He appealed to the people with folded hands and said that the lock-down will remain for 21 days.
