Jaipur: The Rajasthan Madarsa Board is going to get a constitutional status soon. On the demand of minorities, the state CM Gehlot has issued directions to take immediate action and talk to Minority Minister Shail Mohammed. For this, the State Government has initiated preparations for amendment to the Madarsa Act.

Briefing reporters in this regard, Minority Minister Shale Mohamed said that acting on the direction of CM Ashok Gehlot, every aspect has been discussed on the issue of granting constitutional status to the Madarsa Board. Once implemented, the madrasa board will be very strong and accountable. Shale Mohammed said, "With the registration of new madarsas, government facilities will be available from the state government. That includes mid-day meals, textbooks from the department, furniture, computers and parateachers, etc.,"

During this period, the government will spend 60 per cent for the development of Madarsas under the Public Participation Scheme. On the other hand, Madarsas will bear 40 per cent of their expenses. Both the Rajasthan government and the central government are reportedly going to work together to develop a model Madarsa in each district. All facilities will be provided with computer education, Hindi, English.
