Raipur: Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel has raised the question of lodging an FIR against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over a comment on Veer Savarkar. Along with this, Bhupesh Baghel has sought an answer from the BJP regarding a letter written by Savarkar. On Friday, CM Bhupesh Baghel said this after discussing with media persons in Raipur. He further said that all the freedom fighters went to jail due to the struggle, but no one apologized. 

It is noteworthy that in the name of Veer Savarkar, there has been a political uproar in the country for the last several days. After the statement of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the flame of this spark has spread all over the country. Now the round of allegations and counter-allegations is going on on this issue. Meanwhile, Congress leader and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has given his reaction regarding the FIR against Rahul Gandhi.

He said, 'Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak remained in Mandalay Jail for 6 years, and he did not apologize. Sardar Bhagat Singh was hanged and he also did not apologize. Similarly, Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Sardar Patel also did not apologize.' Earlier, Mahatma Gandhi's great-grandson and author Tushar Gandhi supported Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's claim on Veer Savarkar and said that Savarkar had apologized to the British to get out of jail and there is evidence in history. Tushar Gandhi, who participated in the Congress Bharat Jodo Yatra on Friday, said, 'It is true that Veer Savarkar was a friend of the British, he apologized to the British for coming out of jail and it is not that we have accepted this from WhatsApp University. There is evidence in history.'
