On Wednesday, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao announced that his government is ready to test and treat any number of people who are suffering from Coronavirus.

In his statement further, he also said that the state will follow the guidelines issued by the central government for prevention of Covid-19 and will continue the lockdown in the state till April 20. CM said, 'As per the guidelines issued by the Center, the lockdown in the state will continue till April 20. After this, a decision will be taken to pursue it based on the prevailing circumstances. He said that people should follow the lockdown as before.

The Chief Minister of Telangana held a high-level meeting with the officials at Pragati Bhavan to discuss the purchase and assistance of agricultural produce to be given to the poor in the coming days. Rao also assured the public that Telangana has adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) kits for health workers treating people infected with the coronavirus.
