Dehradun: The birthday of Acharya Balkrishna, the general secretary of Patanjali Yogpeeth, is being celebrated as Herb Day. Several cabinet ministers including Governor Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh and CM Pushkar Singh Dhami attended the program on the fourth day of the ongoing International Conference on Traditional Indian Medicine, Modernization, Public Health and Industrial Perspectives on the birthday of Acharya Balkrishna in the auditorium of Patanjali University.

On Thursday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who arrived at the birth festivities of Acharya Balkrishna running in Patanjali, announced that there would be a registration of Naturopathy doctors. He said that he hoped that Patanjali would help the government in opening a world-class Naturopathy hospital in Uttarakhand.

Earlier, the Chancellor of Sapatanjali University and Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev said that when India is celebrating the nectar festival of independence, then PM Narendra Modi has done a historic work by forming the Board of Education of India. Patanjali is going to do the work of clarifying what Macaulay had committed in 1835, through the Indian Board of Education. Now the mind of children in India will be prepared according to Indianness. Patanjali Anusandhan Sansthan has tried to overcome this by getting its evidence-based research published in the world's leading research journal. He has described Ayurveda as the most useful method for increasing immunity and for purification.
